Gulf War Syndrome
Thousands of individuals who served in the Persian Gulf War claim they are afflicted with a broadly defined syndrome they believe has its source in some event or series of events which occurred during that war. So far, however, the epidemiological evidence is quite clear -- veterans do not suffer from any ailment or affliction at higher rates than soldiers who did not see action in the Gulf with the sole exception of a significantly higher rate of accidents.
