Although there is no good evidence linking the two, some people are convinced that electromagnetic radiation given off by everything from power lines to cellular phones causes or contributes to cancer.

The claim that cellular phones are unsafe because they give off EMF is extremely bizarre given that the entire purpose of having a cellular phone is so that it can receive and transmit EMF -- that is, after all, what the cellular phone's signal is.
